Just donwload the Viewer from the webpage and install it. So, after downloading it, let’s see how it looks like in the Pepakura Viewer. In my case, I have selected the model of a Laputan Robot. In Tektonten you can find almost every tematic. The papekura webpage has a model library, but unfortunately the models there are quite bad… so don’t worry, I give you a better ones. What about the Viewer? First of all, you need a model. Ok ok, don’t panic, the designer needs to be improved or you need to get lowpoly designs into it. I mean, 435 parts for cut fold and past together…. It seems to be fine, the problem is that the final papercraft ir HUGE.
So… Let’s try Pepakura designer… with a Imperial Star Destroyer. So you only have to put the parts together, no need for scissors. And the Viewer for Silhouette Cameo takes the papercraft dessing and converts it into a file for the Silhoute cutters.The viewer does basically the opposite, takes the papercraft designs and turns it into a 3D model.The Designer module is used to import 3D files of models and turn them into papercraft modules.Designer and Viewer or Viewer for Silhoute Cameo. Then just print it and built a 3D object! (Remeber our post about Cubeecraft?). So… basically if you know how to create a 3D model or you have some models, you can actually use pepakura to convert them into a papercraft model. Pepakura is a software to make papercraft models from 3D models.
